Targu Mures – Waste Water Treatment
Spaans Babcock bv has performed the upgrade of the water treatment project Targu Mures in Romania. This turn- key project, of which Spaans Babcock is responsible for both design as well as the performance in Romania, consist of a complete new water treatment plant: 3 coarse screens, 2 fine screens with conveyor belt, press and sand eliminator, replacement of 6 screw pumps and 36 aerators.
The whole process is controlled by a new SCADA system. The customer, SC Aquaserv SA, has now not only got a new mechanic and biologic treatment but a solid and utmost modernized waste water treatment plant. The capacity of the plant has therefore been increased from 160.000 i.e. up to 240.000 i.e.
The project has been EU financed with a loan from the EBRD (European Banc of Reconstruction Development.)
