Communale Municipal Waste Water
Ocho Rios – Municipal Waste Water Treatment Plant
The long term survival of one of Jamaica premier tourist resorts, Ocho Rios, depends on maintaining the quality of the surrounding coastal waters.
The main threat to this attractive environment is groundwater and seawater pollution. Residents and tourist have also to be protected from water-borne diseases directly related to inadequate sewage collection.
Spaans Babcock and Witteveen & Bos have, engaged by the Government of Jamaica, designed and constructed the treatment and disposal system.
